About Journal

Eltima is a Farsi word meaning "healing," and it is the title of this journal. Eltiam Journal is published biannually by the Iranian Veterinary Surgery Association (IVSA), with the aim of releasing special issues on various clinical topics. Similar types of publications have been produced in other parts of the world to address potential knowledge gaps.

Eltiam has been published biannually since 2015 as an open-access journal in the Farsi language, featuring English abstracts. The journal is approved by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran and is indexed by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) and other local indexing databases.

Guest editors for each issue are selected by the chief editor and the editorial board. This provides an opportunity to engage researchers and young talents across the country, allowing them to contribute their valuable scientific experiences. In this way, veterinarians throughout Iran can benefit from new and integrated information on specialized fields of interest.

Review articles are prepared according to the journal's guidelines, based on local demands, and aim to comprehensively cover all aspects of a given subject within a single issue—making it a valuable reference for practical use. All review articles are developed under the supervision of the guest editor as commissioned works. Topics covered so far include equine joints, bovine abdominal sonography, wounds, dentistry, equine colic, lameness in cattle, small animal clinical pathology, and many others.

Results of scientific research are also published in a dedicated section of the journal.

We are pleased to invite Farsi-speaking researchers to submit the results of their valuable studies for publication in the journal. All submissions are reviewed according to the journal's editorial policies.

Thanks to the continuous support of the Iranian Journal of Veterinary Surgery, publishing articles in Eltiam is free of charge.
